There's a Treasure Hunt Hidden in CryptoBlocks
We buried a Capture the Flag challenge inside the app. Find the hidden projects, earn legendary badges.
Somewhere in CryptoBlocks, there are hidden projects. They’re not in the Shareplace feed. They’re not linked anywhere. But they exist — and each one awards a secret legendary badge when you find and remix it.
What Is a CTF?
CTF stands for Capture the Flag. In cybersecurity, it’s a competition where hackers find hidden vulnerabilities, decode messages, and solve puzzles. The “flag” is proof you solved it.
Our version is gentler — no vulnerabilities to exploit, no servers to break into. Just hidden things to discover. But the skills are real: pattern recognition, research, curiosity, and the willingness to try things that might not work.
How to Start
We’re not going to give you the answers. That would defeat the point. But we will give you a nudge:
The Hacker Terminal knows things. Not everything is in the help menu.
What You’ll Learn
Each hidden project connects to a real piece of computer science history, mathematics, or hacker culture. When you find one, you won’t just earn a badge — you’ll learn a story worth knowing.
The Rules
- There are no rules. Poke around. Try things.
- The answers are not random. They mean something.
- If you find one, don’t spoil it for others. The discovery is the reward.
One More Thing
The badges you earn from the treasure hunt are legendary rarity — the rarest tier. They’ll glow gold in your badge showcase with an animated shimmer effect. When someone sees them on your profile, they’ll know you earned it.
Happy hunting.
